I have been on my feast or famine diet now for about a week. It really hasn't been too hard and I have already lost about 2 pounds. I think one reason that this diet works so well for me, is that I am watching what I eat and I am being accountable for it on the scale every few days.
I usually do not tell my family when I am on a diet. In the past they felt it their duty to tempt me, just to see if I will be strong and resist the temptation they put in front of me. Sometimes they would try to help and tell me what I can have and what I can't. Even though I decided a few years ago to keep my diets private, this year I let the family know so that whoever wanted to join me could. So far it's me and Sarah D. Sarah C seems to be on the diet but I think she is doing it privately and I know better than to ask her too many questions or give her too much advise.
Joe on the other hand is developing a diet of his own. He is calling his diet the "Fat-a-tarian diet." This is kind of like being a vegetarian, only without the vegetables. In place of the vegetables one would substitute fat. He was having a great time with this diet for about a day until he had some gastrointestinal (once again--emphasis on the gas) problems from it. His diet didn't last too long, only a day or so. His intent was not to loose weight but to just have fun.
I wish I could go on a diet just for the fun of it.

Amazingly I have seen teenage boys lose weight on these diets. I remember when Jeff went on the fried food diet and lost about 50 pounds. The main point of his diet was to eat about 8000 calories of fried food at about midnight. To be healthy he fried vegetables occasionally. Can pickles truely be classified as vegetables?
Hmm, the fat-a-tarian diet. Joe just thinks of the most interesting diets. It sounds to me kind of like the cookie diet. I think that I remember my mom complaining about gastrointestinal problems from that diet too.
