Confusing White Powders

For the Priest/Laurel activity tonight we are baking Christmas cookies for the four families in our ward who had new babies last week. I asked a few of the Laurels and Priest to bring some cookie dough so that we could "brown" them in the oven at church. I say "brown" because we are not supposed to do any cooking in the church building.
Sarah D decided to make some Italian cookies from a recipe that her mother gave her a few weeks ago. The first problem she encountered was when she confused the flour for the sugar.
We fixed the problem by taking the confused ingredients and adding a few more. We came up with some delicious chocolate cookies.
She tried making the Italian cookies again. Just to make sure that we had the right ingredients, we cooked a few cookies, rolled them in the powered sugar and ate them. We knew that something was wrong right away. The only thing that I could say was that it was a good thing that we baked a few and tried them before we embarrassed ourselves at church. As I thinking about what we could possible do to rectify the situation, Sarah D figured out the problem. She confused some more white ingredients. Instead of rolling them in powered sugar she rolled them in baking powder.
As we go to the Priest/Laurel activity tonight we will have some pretty funny stories to tell.
