Bonnie, Bob, and Joe left to go back to Dallas this evening. It is always fun to spend time with them. I wish we could see each other more often, and I wish that it didn't take so long to get to each others homes.
Today we meet at Costco, went to the mall, and then we out to lunch at PF Chang's. On our way home we dropped by Wal-Mart. Later, we visited as they rested up for their long journey back to Texas. After being on the tour bus last week, I can imagine how tired they will be of driving.
John got to stay a extra night because his flight doesn't leave until 6:00 tomorrow morning. It's not every day that one of our nephews gets to have a serious talk with Marty about dating. Marty likes to interview the boys who take out his daughters and John happened to fit into that category tonight. John and Sarah D. went on a double date with Sarah and a young man who also had the same opportunity to have an interview with Marty.
Marty takes this chat pretty seriously and is known throughout the high school for scaring lots of young men. John said that he has had worse talks/lectures in the past. I guess if Marty wants to compete with the Navy he needs to be a little more stern. At least he didn't bring in his bow and arrows or guns. He didn't even start sharpening his knife this time.

I think I would be impressed by weapons! Thanks for a wonderful week. We had a great time. Fortunately, the drive home was safe and uneventful. A special thanks to Sarah D. for going on a date with my son. A special thanks to Sarah C. for getting the double date together.
