Surprise!

This past weekend and the start of this week have been full of surprises! I took this picture this morning after everyone left for school. The only good thing about all of this snow is that in two weeks when it is spring break, we will go skiing. After our ski day we are heading to the Grand Canyon.






Sarah Rose's birthday was on Friday. Sarah D. and I set up surprises for her throughout the high school. When she arrived at each class there was a surprise birthday wish waiting for her. Kathleen and I even delivered about 65 cupcakes to her at lunchtime.













Both Sarahs got to go to the senior dinner dance. This was kind of a surprise because the event was sold out while we were on choir tour. I called the school's office and voiced my concern that only 170 seniors out of 503 could attend. We were pleasantly surprised when both of the girls got to go.
Sarah D. is wearing the dress that she made to complete the personal progress program. She made it with this dance in mind and it would have been really disappointing if she didn't get to go.










Sarah got this dress for Christmas and had been saving it for the senior dinner dance. She was really excited when she found out that the senior dinner was going to be on her 18th birthday. She was honored by the senior class (the ones who got to go) singing Happy Birthday to her.










I was surprised when Marcie called me on Friday! She and her children stopped over for a visit. Look at how cute her children are! This is her youngest daughter Lesie, who is 3. Peaking out to the side is 6 year old Tise.

It seems like everyone likes the name Sarah. Sarah Rose+Sarah D.+ Sarah W. = 3 Sarah's! Artise is sitting by his sister Sarah.
It was a fun surprise to have Marcie and her cute kids come for a visit. They were on spring break. I think they brought all of the wind and snow with them.
