It is so much fun to have daughters! We have started a new tradition over the past two years. When it is General Conference and the men go to the Priesthood session, the girls have a tea party.
In the fall, we go to the Grand America and have the afternoon tea in their tea room. When conference is in the spring, we have a tea party at home.
This is a picture of our table before we started our tea party. The last time we were at the Grand America, I purchased their wonderful raspberry tea so that we could have it for our spring party.
The beautiful tea set that is on the table belongs to Rachael. Kathleen made some wonderful little lemon muffins, Sarah D. made egg salad sandwiches, I made bacon cheddar sandwiches, and fresh blueberry scones with lemon sauce. We picked up some turkey-sun dried tomato wraps from Sam's to complete our party.
We had fun sitting around the table while we talked. We later took a color personality test. I have found out that I have a white and blue personality with a tiny bit of red and no yellow. I'm not really sure what that all means, but it was fun the answering questions.
I have really liked this new tradition. I wish that I would have started it earlier. I feel very blessed to have daughters, because after all... What are little (and big) girls made of? Sugar and spice and everything nice!

I am glad you are able to do this fun tradition with your daughters. At our house Bob has the tradition of taking the boys out to a Chinese seafood buffet. Snakes and snails...
I remember being up in Rexburg when and not being able to go to one of the tea parties, I was so sad....
