Rachael's Remedy

Whenever I get a fever, I can always count on a fever blister. I tried Rachael's remedy and discovered that she was right!

I added a bunch of salt to some toothpaste and put it on my sore, swollen lip and had it on throughout the night. The combination of toothpaste and salt applied to a cold sore/fever blister hurts like "salt in an open wound!" Rachael was also right that it would taste really bad. I tasted the minty, salty toothpaste throughout the night. Yes, the bad taste would actually wake me up!

The following morning, I washed off the rest of the toothpaste concoction and found that my fever blister was a lot less swollen. Usually I suffer from a fever blister for about 2 to 3 weeks. Today, my fever blister is almost gone.

I always hope that I won't ever get another fever blister, but if I do, I hope to remember Rachael's remedy!

I'm so glad it worked for you! It isn't pleasant... but it's way better than a blister that lasts for weeks.
