Cute Kathleen

Finally! I get to do a blog post on Kathleen.
Kathleen's cute little nicknames: Kakleberries, Kaffene, and when she was really little I called her my little Katy-did.
Kathleen has always been a sweet, kind person. Everyone loves her!

Kathleen was such a beautiful baby. She was born with so much hair! People would always stop me when they saw us pass by so that they could see this pretty little girl with the beautiful dark hair.

Kathleen is the oldest child in the family. She took this responsibility well. She learned how to cook and clean at an early age.

Kathleen has always loved reading! Because she was an "early reader" she discovered the truth about Santa at an early age. When she was around 7, she was reading one of my magazines and read some article or advertisement that said there was no Santa. From there she pretty much had the rest of it figured out. There were no more Easter Bunny or Tooth Fairy surprises for her.

Kathleen still enjoys reading. I always see her with a book in her hand or in her purse. She once claimed the living room as her very own so that she could read and not be disturbed.

Kathleen always hated any tags on her clothing. I think she still does. At one point, she had me cutting any label, tag, or decorative button off of the clothing she would wear. I decided to help her with this by sewing a little piece of fabric onto everything she owned. I guess this really didn't help her out today-- she just cuts them off herself now!

Kathleen was a cute little girl. She grew up with a lot of close friends in our neighborhood. It has been fun to watch her and her friends still have a great relationship with each other.

This picture was taken a few years ago at Mesa Verde where we spent a few days during spring break.

Joe, Eric, and I surprised her Friday with a day at Disneyland on Saturday in honor of her birthday! I love spending time with Kathleen!
