Teaching PE has been a little different than what I thought! Yesterday---I put two kick balls outside to get ready for our kickball tournament and when I went in to get the students, both ball were stolen! I also got sunburned.

I got hit in the leg with a softball (should be called a hard ball) while pitching to 6th graders...

I found out that the entire playground was used all day and I had all grade levels running though my PE class.
I decided to pray for rain!
Today---it rained
While teaching 5th grade jump rope routines (not even a competitive sport) 2 boy got in a fist fight. One boy kept crying his nose was broken and the other boy got 3 days of In School Suspension. (no the kid's nose was not broken)
The next hour with the 6th grade, I had to move them to the stage after 15 minutes while the lunchroom was being set up for lunch time. Good thing I was able to teach them "Frog Murderer"
During 1st grade, the weather was sunny... I took them outside and we played with the parachute. All of the sudden it started pouring. I carried a wet, dripping parachute back to the gym.
During 3rd grade another class "just had to stretch their legs" after testing, so we had about 60 kids in the gym. That made jump roping interesting!
I was looking forward to a quite gym with the kindergartens at the end of the day, but instead I was met with the ballroom team. Once again I went up to the stage. We sat in a circle and rolled a ball back and forth. They actually enjoyed it.
This is only my 2nd day. I have three and a half more weeks to go!
I wonder if I should just take persona leave.

I think you should take a couple of days off... let someone else deal with it. That sounds like a terrible day! I'm so sorry!!!
You will comw up with a new concept to solve this delema. Are there any classrooms available? You colud do a game time, or a Karaoke hour.
Oh no! I was thinking that sounded like a bad week, but that was only two days?! You'll feel something out! Hope the rest of your Gym time goes better!
