Both Sally Fields and I "have this one body and this one life...." In other words bone loss and osteoporosis.
While visiting the doctor for my annual checkup I mentioned that I have had several broken bones within a year or so... broken toes, broken metatarsal, broken tail bone.... I knew that something was wrong and I wanted a bone scan. She agreed and about a week ago I had a bone density scan.
The results show (frank osteoporosis) quite a bit of bone loss in both hips, and some bone loss in my lower back. My vitamin D level is not looking so good either. I have the bones of an old women.
Having this amount of bone loss at my 'quite' young age (47) isn't normal and I am waiting for more tests to come back to see what is causing all this. I am thinking that all of the things that have gone wrong with my body over the last 4 years may all be tied into this. Celiac, thyroid, Vitamin D and B, and iron tests will come back next week.
The good news is that I have caught this early and there are medications that stop and hopefully reverse bone loss. The sad news is that I was told to be careful. I am not sure how a Sundance Season ski pass fits in.

I bet you can handle the Sundance season pass. Just do not fall down.
I'm glad you caught all of this early. I hope the results you get back won't be too bad.. I love you!
Maybe you should get a ski pass to The Canyons instead. If you are going to break something at least you should do it at a world class resort.
I hope everything is ok!
