I Want My 2 Dollars

On Monday I went through the bank's drive through. I was in a hurry to go stand in line at the post office so I wasn't paying enough attention. Once I got my debit card back I drove away. It wasn't until the next morning that I realized that I had forgotten the 200 dollars in cash that I had listed on my deposit slip. I went to the bank before to school to pick it up, but they were still closed and I did not have time in the afternoon to go back.

I was surprised that I hadn't heard from the bank asking me to pick up the money so, this morning I called them and asked about it, they had no idea of any extra money laying around---and I decided it was time to get worried. I went into the bank after school, showed them my card, and all of my information and was told that the bank manager would call me back in about a half an hour after she got back. That was at 3:00

At 5:00 I was getting angry. I WANT MY TWO (HUNDRED) DOLLARS! I was told that the manager was working with a customer and would call me as soon as she could.

5:57. The bank closes at 6:00 and I could feel myself really heating up. I called again and I actually got to speak to the manager. I told her who I was, sure that she had looked over the notes that the bank teller had given her. She had no idea who I was and had not received any information regarding my account.

After explaining it all to her, she looked it up and indeed found the error. The teller never put it in a "cash out" category or something like that. Because it was after 5:00 she would not be able to credit my account until tomorrow.

Shortly after we hung up she called back and told me that because of Veteran's Day tomorrow, the money won't be available until Friday.

I have one thing to say about all of this...

I want my TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS!

Happy Veteran's Day. I wish John could take us to Outback for a Bloomin Onion tomorrow. That might help you take your mind off that $200 you are not gettin until Friday.

BOO for banks! I've come across some pretty retarded people in banks, you'd think they'd be a little more careful about who they hire since they handle all our money!

That is so frustrating. I am glad they found the error.
