Fashion can be a lot like dealing with people. Either you are IN or you are OUT. Working in a testing lab has put me OUT with quite a few people. I don't get the smiles or the high fives as I walk down the hall like I did in previous years. I think some teachers even see me as a threat. It's tough being me lately.
I have experience being OUT. As a child, I moved around a lot and frequently found myself OUT when I would move from school to school. I would choose one or two people that I could befriend and work from there.
How do I handle being OUT now? I am tempted to stay in my classroom and sulk-- but instead I have decided to work on my popularity. Today, I brought some homemade grape juice to 2 possible friends. I will use my childhood "friend making skills," and hope they still work.

That is too funny seeing as you are only administrating the tests. I am sure you will be popular soon if you continue to bring grape juice or other treats.
I feel out a lot too.. Moving around makes it hard to make friends! Grape juice is a good idea.. let me know how that works!
You are always "in" with me!
Hope is goes well! Feeling outside of the group sucks, but I bet you're excellent at making friends!
