Back in summer and fall, when the fruit was falling from the trees, I made a bunch of jam. I made apricot and pear jam along with grape jelly. I also made an apricot chutney, salsa, and tomato soup.
For Christmas this year, I have been passing out my pear jam. It has been wonderful to be able to get a box of jam from downstairs and give them away to those who are on my Christmas list. It is also nice to carry around some extra jam for those I forgot to put on my list.
I had big plans of cross stitching a partridge on some fabric to go a long with the "partridge in a pear tree" theme. Those plans did not materialize. I ended up finding a cute picture off of the internet and printing that.
With a glue stick and little ribbon the Christmas gifts were ready to go!
