The Common Denominator

Have you ever had a day where everyone annoys you? Yesterday was that day for me.

I was first annoyed with Marty. He was helping a family in the ward move things after a flood. The people who were supposed to help didn't show up, so Marty called me and told me to call the Elders' Quorum and ask why they weren't there yet and tell them that they needed to get there NOW! I never called them, I didn't feel that it was my place to call, and I am pretty selective of who sees me in my witch's hat.

Next, I was angry with Joe. I was annoyed with him because of his lack of help around the house and his expectations of me taking him to work, his game and back home. A full day of driving. My shuttle services would be needed at 11:00 AM, 6:30PM and then again at 9:30PM. For some reason this bugged me yesterday. In between my driving Joe around I did errands that needed to be done for a few weeks; I returned things, I went to the post office (that alone gets me in a bad mood), I went to the library, I mowed the lawn, and I had a book club meeting.

Sarah got on my nerves as she rolled her eyes when I asked her to take her car in to get the safety and emissions done on it. As I gave her my debit card she asked "how long will this take me?" I can't seem to get the right tone in her voice here, so just imagine a 17 year old girl saying this. Wal-Mart is right next door so I told her to just walk around until it was done in maybe a half an hour. Well, the emission machine wasn't working, so she came home. She did say that I could do it on Monday since I had the day off.

I decided to take it in myself later that afternoon. I really didn't want to take care of this on my day off. At 4:00 as I walked around Big Lots I started to reflect upon my day. I was annoyed with Marty, Joe and Sarah. They weren't fighting with each other. I seemed to be the common denominator in all of the fights. I hate it when that happens.
