Catching up and Keeping Up

I have spent the last few days catching up and keeping up. I have done mounds of laundry, mowed grass that should have been put into bales of hay for the winter, cleaned the house, copied papers for school, had 'Back to School Night', shopped for Joe's birthday, helped with past due homework, taught music and science, and started planning the huge Mutual activity that I am in charge of on September 17th. Throughout all of this I even made it to the Mountain Man-Indian Rendezvous in Wyoming over the Labor Day weekend.

Today I got up at 5:30 AM and took Joe to his MRI appointment in Provo. I hope that I do not hear that he needs surgery for a torn ACL. He injured his left knee the same day that my mother passed away. At that time, the doctor said that nothing was broken, and that he should heal just fine. He seemed to be getting better until the day we drove back to Utah. I think he must have re-injured it during the football game after the funeral. Sometimes, 14 year old boys are not too smart.

My focus for the next week will be staying caught up on all the many things I am involved in. I am hopeful that by next Monday, my life will be back to normal.

You are inspiring me to get more done. 14 year old boys are not the only ones lacking judgment. How old were some of those kids driving the 4 wheeler? Any how, I hope everything works out okay on his knee. It seems like such a high price to pay for a little game of football.
