The Dancing Sarahs

Homecoming was last week for "the Sarahs." They were so cute as they got ready to go. They fixed each other up and they really did look beautiful. They had a great time at the ball. (Sarah D. refers to school dances as "balls"). They even made the booteneers for their dates.

Marty had his little chat with the young men when they came to pick them up. Marty feels the need to scare the crap out of any young man daring to ask out one of his daughters. He says he doesn't try to scare them, he just wants them to know what he expects from them. I just wonder why Marty practiced archery a few minutes before the boys came by and just had to bring his bow and arrows into the living room where he interviewed them. I think he even had a knife attached to his belt just in case he needed it.

Saddie's (a girl's choice dance) is coming up next week and they both have dates to that as well. They had fun asking their dates to the dance. Sarah D. made up a test and asked her history teacher to give the papers to a certain guy in her history class. The test had questions on it referring to his recent absence as well as a bunch of other random things. It was a three page test that asked questions like: Do you drive to school? Did your parents clear your absence? Have you ever had a 'number 2' at Arby's? Do you know any exchange students? Would you go to Saddie's with one? The boy answered all of the questions and handed the test back to the teacher. The teacher looked over the papers and asked the boy if he knew what Saddie's was? They young man didn't know what it was, so in front of the class the teacher explained it.
Sarah D. says she was bright red by the time it was over, but she has a date!
Sarah C. simply made brownies for her date and wrote "There's more where this came from, if you go to Saddie's with me." She was grateful that I came up with such a cleaver idea. I am grateful that I get to watch these girls have so much fun.

Maybe next time Marty will be practicing with a pistol or a shotgun. I'd love to be a fly on the wall.

I loved the idea of the test. I also liked the idea of the brownies with the Napoleon Dynomite theme.

Did you make Joey do extra chores because he did not go to the ball?
