My heart was racing, my hands were sweating and shaking. Even though I was concentrating on my breathing, I found it very difficult to get enough oxygen. I was trying too hard to not move that today I am suffering from stiff and sore muscles. What could cause such as panic? The Dentist.
Last year, I suffered a laceration caused by the dentist as his drill slipped and cut the side of my tongue. This was a pretty bad accident that left me not only in a lot of pain, but pretty nervous to ever go back to the dentist. I carefully researched for another dentist, but I found that getting back into a dental chair was even more of a challenge than I thought it would be. I probably should have had him put on the laughing gas, but I was only getting a filling and a crown prep, so I didn't think it was necessary.
I did survive. I had extra duty shots to keep me from feeling any pain as he drilled. My mouth didn't even get back to normal until 9:00 last night. I like my current dentist, however maybe if he changed the name of his dental office, I might not be so nervous. Why would any dentist choose the name "The Cutting Edge?"

I agree. The dentist needs to rethink his marketing approach. I would ask next time you go in. Is the name a double entendre? I am glad you made it through. You wont be one of those people who die of dental problems because you are afraid of the dentist.
Wow, what a horrible name for a dental office. Good thing you survived!
