You know you live in Utah when you have three girls in your ward get married on the same day. As we were coming home from the third reception, I had decided that having all three on the same night was really good. We started out in Provo for the first one, dropped by the Lindon reception, and finished up in Highland. It was surprising that no one used the church for their reception. They were all at reception halls. One good thing, was that the food was different at each of them. The brides must have gotten together to discuss how they would contribute to feeding the ward for the night. Even though I was at wedding receptions from 5:30 to 9:30, I enjoyed getting it all taken care of on one night.
My ward is definitely keeping me busy. I have been scrambling for a week or two trying to finish the Young Women 2009 calendar. I am passing them out on Wednesday at New Beginnings. As I was putting the final touches on them this last weekend, I was informed that one of the ladies I visit teach has pneumonia. I had decided that a meal would make her feel better and that I could deliver it after attending another ward member's funeral - where I signed up to make funeral potatoes.
The schedule for this week really doesn't look much better, and to be honest the week after this looks even more frightening. I'm not sure when things will lighten up, maybe this summer.

Aren't you glad you are not planning a wedding this year?
as for funerals, they are generally unplanned until the last minute.
