I spent the week trying to give him clues and hints on dating. He endured it pretty well. Throughout the week, Marty also gave him a some dating lessons. The evening before the dance, Sarah gave him a few tips and pointers on dating. I'm not sure he appreciated Marty's and my advice however, I think he did appreciate Sarah's.
Throughout the course of the week he discovered that his date happened to be in one of my fifth grade classes. I always enjoy seeing my former students. I like to see how they have grown and changed.
Yesterday when Joe's homecoming group came over for dinner, two of them were my former students. It was fun to see what things they remembered the most about the time they spent in my classroom.
Here are a few pictures from the homecoming dinner.
We set the table outside in the patio. It is fun to eat out there at this time of the year because you can smell the grapes that are ripening on the vines. I think the kids also snacked on them as they were waiting for us to bring out the food.
The main course was lasagna, and dessert was tiramisu.

You had Tomatoes and basil... LASAGNA and tiramisu?! My favorite things!!! I'm really jealous. The patio looks beautiful! Taylor looked over my shoulder and asked where they had dinner cause it looked so nice. I explained it was our patio and my mom made the food and set it up. He was impressed.
Your patio looks so pretty right now. The food presentation was also very nice. Joe is lucky!
It is till hard to believe that Big Joe is old enough to date! What a lovely dinner you did for his group! I think they should have paid you at least $30 a plate for that delicious custom meal. So you theoretically made $240 plus they should give you at 25% tip because the service was so good. Now you are up to $300. Time to go shopping!
