It's The Most "Busiest" Time Of The Year

Have you ever noticed how the first week of December is one of the busiest weeks of the year? It seems that everyone schedules a Christmas party the first week of the month.
With all theses parties in the first week of December, what will we do the rest of the month?

After lots of parties this week, my goal for next week is to get all of my packages and Christmas cards in the mail. I love buying everyone gifts, I don't mind wrapping them, I don't really like packaging the boxes, and I absolutely hate going to the post office. If seems that no matter when I go, or how many people are there, I will have at least a half and hour wait.

To be honest, I am not really excited to get out all of the decorations and figure out where to put them. I keep trying to remember that Joe would enjoy Christmas cookies, decorations, and maybe even a Christmas tree. The poor boy doesn't even get dessert anymore unless someone is coming over for dinner. Its too bad that I can't just buy some of our traditional homemade treats.

I usually made dessert about once a week when the kids were all at home. After we would come home from a visit to Aunt Deanna's house I had to answer the question after every meal, even breakfast, "What is for dessert? Aunt Deanna always makes dessert."

You set a pretty high standard!
