This is the time of the year for birthdays!
When Bonnie was here last month, we surprised her with an early 50th birthday party. We had balloons, black streamers, wonderful gifts to help her adjust to her advanced age, brownies, and to top it all off, we sat in Kathleen and Eric's hot tub!
We turned off the smoke alarm to light all of the candles.
Lung capacity anyone would be proud of!
Here is Bonnie, trying to kiss Bob. Not only does she look beautiful in her new glasses, but she has see those really small words!
When I turned 40--Bonnie gave me a party, and I had to return the favor. One present that I meant to "regift" is the bra that she gave to me.
We showered Bonnie with all the important things that "old people" need. She has new shoes that have velco (I have heard that old people have a hard time bending over for a long time), raisin bran and prune juice (keeping regular is very important!), 250 power glasses (now she can be twins with grandpa), calcium tablets (I think she already had some of her own--so these were not that great of a hit), body wash for aches and pains (this came in handy after the ski slope), and just to help her feel extra pretty we gave her some Juicy Couture perfume.
We love you Bonnie and hope you had a very happy birthday.

I love the gifts! Hopefully she waited until she left your house to drink the prune juice. What a fun party.
Thanks for the fun party! Do not worry about your 50th birthday party. We will do it up even bigger!
