We got into Venice and ate dinner. After dinner, we rode through the canals on a gondola. This was a very romantic ride. Well, Joe and Sarah were there, but it was still romantic. The gondolier did not talk as he rowed the gondola through many of the canals and under bridges. We enjoyed the moon lite ride. The pictures do not do the place justice.
We returned the next day to finish sight seeing in Venice. We bought Venetian glass and a Venetian mask for Rachael.
The canals are very narrow. The gondoliers are experts.
The streets were lined with all kinds of shops.
They eat quite a bit of fish in Venice. We saw this and thought it looked kind of creepy.
This sign says... "Bus Strike!" We did not know about the bus strike until after we purchased our bus tickets back to our hotel. After waiting for the bus for about an hour, we decided to take a taxi in order to be in Verona to meet Sarah D.'s family on time. (That will be tomorrow's post)

Love was in the air. What a romatic city. I loved your pictures. Yes, we learn to be romantic even though the kids are with us. The lemonsnake was definitly creepy, or was it an eel?
Wow, so beautiful!
