Testing, Testing, 1,2,3

As I stand in front of my classroom this year, I have come to the conclusion....
I don't think I will be voted most popular teacher this year.

I did have someone draw me a picture yesterday after he finished his math test. I do try to smile and encourage kids to do their best, but they still associate me with a hard test.

This year I am working in the testing computer lab. When students come into my classroom, they get to log into their computers and take one test after another--all year long.

Classroom management is easy this year, no one talks in my class and no one gets out of their seat. The only problem kids are the ones who chew on the headphone cords.

The most exciting thing about my classroom are my BYU bulletin boards. I get lots of compliments on them, especially the one with the cougar claws.

I might not get the most popular teacher of the year award this year, but all of this testing has been helpful in completing the assignments for my classes.

You are doing a great job. You are keeping all of the school honestly on track in a completely unbiased way. Thanks for your service, Deanna. Without you at the helm of that testing center, could the admin have complete faith in the tracking of each student in your school? It is amazing that you have 700 students come through your class each week and that you only manage to lose a few headphones and not your sanity. You are a true Wonder Woman.
