Stuck In A Maze

We left Beijing yesterday and flew to Hong Kong. The trip took most of the day. Our hotel here in Hong Kong is pretty sad compared to our last hotel. When we first got here we asked to change rooms because our room smelled like mold. Once we changed rooms we set put to find some American food. We headed out of hotel but got stuck going in circles trying to get out of the hotel/shopping mall. Hong Kong is a lot like New York City, only NYC is smaller and more organized. Hong Kong is like NY C on steroids. There are layers of this city with roads on the first three levels, kind of like a city built in a huge multi-level parking area with high rise buildings. There are pedestrian walk ways that goes over some of the streets. We haven't gotten to the subway level yet.

Today we ventured out and went to an English speaking branch on Hong Kong island. After our experiences last night we gave ourselves plenty of time. We were thirty minutes early for church. After church we went sight seeing even though it was raining and foggy. We took a bus to the top of Victoria Peak. It was really foggy and we almost decided to save our money and not go outside at the very top.

The rain and fog let up for about thirty minutes so we were able to see the huge city from the top of the peak. My father told me that he rode to the top so I really wanted to experience it. After the tram ride down we walked back to the ferry and found a TGIFridays where we split some nachos. We are really in the mood for some good
Mexican food.

Tomorrow is a big shopping day. I hope to be well rested by then.
