There Are Two Kinds Of People In This World

Our North Carolina trip helps prove that there are two kinds of people in this world.....
1. Those who read everything at museums and.....

Those who don't.

On our second day in North Carolina, we went to the Natural History and Natural Science Museums in Raleigh. We even got to see the pirate museum.

We decided that after spending so much time in the car the day before, it would be best to take a break and visit museums.
2. Those who like State Fairs

And those who don't. State fairs seem to be a big deal back south. The state fair doesn't seem to be as popular in Utah.

While we were at the North Carolina State Fair. We walked around the fairgrounds, saw the pig races, ate funnel cake, saw two ladies fight, watched a horse show, looked at a bunch of rabbits, and ate some pretty amazing hush puppies.

The horse show was great. Rachael and I seemed to pick the same horses to win. We based our decisions on how the horse and rider complimented each other. The judges agreed with us about half of the time.

3. Those who are bossy....

and those who are not.

Sorry that I don't have any pictures to help me illustrate this. After the state fair, we went to a famous restaurant called The Pit. This place serves North Carolina BBQ. I read about 45 reviews and decided that this was the place to go. Everyone else in North Carolina had the same idea, because when we got there, we were informed that there was a 2 hour wait. Our other option was to sit in an area where you grabbed a table as soon as it was cleared. It kind of reminded me of Black Friday, so we eyed a few tables that would fit us all and we started making plans. We waited for about 45 minutes and I was about 5 steps away from the table I was going to claim. I could tell that some lady had the same table in mind. She was across the room, I simply made eye contact with her, I shook my head, pointed at the table and then pointed to myself. She must have given up on the restaurant because she left shortly after we sat down. We had a delicious southern bbq dinner.

Our second day in North Carolina was just what we needed.

My, My, My. Don't get between Deanna and her dinner. I love how you told me that you had Joe use his football skills to block for you while procuring your table at the restaurant.

That does sound pretty similar to Black Friday. It is a good thing that you have had a lot of experience.
