Now that Christmas break is over and I am back in school, I have decided that I need to further my education. I have been thinking about this for several months, and have finally come to a decision. Actually, I have been planning this for about 5 years, but I didn't start working on anything because I had a family to raise.
I have decided to get a few teaching endorsements which will give me enough credits to earn a master's equivalence.
I have decided to sign up for the English as a Second Language endorsement first. This doesn't start until September, so I have plenty of time to prepare Marty for "Take Out Tuesday" every week for at least a year. I think an ESL endorsement will be beneficial in many ways. The school I am at right now is at least 40 percent ESL students.
In a year or so, I want to work on an Educational Technology endorsement. I am hoping that maybe by then, I will qualify for a tuition wavier. The good news about the Educational Tech. endorsement, is that I can take online classes now that will be required when I am actually in the program.
I'm not sure what other endorsements I will get, or what other classes I will take, but at least this is a start.
All of these classes and endorsements will definitely help my retirement checks!
