The Trick To African Violets

Lately I have become a fan of African violets. They are not expensive and they bloom year round.

I have learned several tricks to growing them. They don't like a lot of sunshine. They don't like too much water and you don't need to pay too much attention to them.

I ran out of space in my kitchen garden window and decided to bring a few plants to school. Being in the computer lab, I have to keep the blinds closed, the plants have loved it. I usually water them about once a week, if I remember.

So, if ever anyone wants a low maintenance flowering house plant- African violets are the answer!

They sound like my type of plant!!! one that doesn't need any attention and can live in our cave!!! Ok my house isn't really a cave it just feels like it cuz my cute hermit of a husband loves to close the blinds... its an on going battle! plus they are pretty!

Awesome, I want to get some... do you think they would do well moving? Like if I took them from state to state?
